Across two inspiring days, singers, conductors, composers, teachers, students and music lovers come together to explore and perform outstanding Australian choral music. Through inspiring performances, practical workshops and professional learning led by some of Australia's leading composers and educators, FOAM offers opportunities to connect, learn and be inspired, whatever your level of experience.

Rob Davidson
Rob Davidson is one of Australia's leading choral conductors, an acclaimed composer and a founding member of the internationally recognised ensemble Topology. His workshops are filled with practical ideas and inspiration for composers and performers.

Sally Whitwell is an award-winning composer, pianist and arranger whose music is performed throughout Australia and internationally. Her workshops encourage creativity, collaboration and fresh ideas for all ages, whether composing or performing.

Join Brisbane Chamber Choir and The Australian Voices in the inaugural FOAM Massed Choir. Singers from all levels of experience come together to perform three iconic Australian choral works.
Led by celebrated Australian composer/conductors, this unforgettable performance is your opportunity to experience the excitement, connection and joy of performing as part of the celebration of Australian choral music.

Kungala is inspired by the Australian landscape and renowned for its rich vocal textures and rhythmic vitality, it has become a favourite of choirs throughout Australia and internationally.

Sarah Hopkins
Past Life Melodies
Past Life Melodies is Sarah Hopkins’ signature choral work, commissioned by Graeme Morton for St Peters Lutheran College Chorale in Brisbane in 1991. It has become standard repertoire for choirs around the world.

Graeme Morton
Crossing the Bar
Crossing the Bar is Graeme Morton’s evocative setting of Tennyson’s much-loved poem. Published through Morton Music and RSCM Music Direct, it is loved and recorded by school and community choirs alike.
